Sleeping With Tinnitus : Details
2 min readSleeping with Tinnitus is not an easy thing for sure. I’ve done plenty of research on the subject and have discovered that there are quite a few methods of treating tinnitus, but none of them have been successful for everyone. I’ve tried all sorts of things from aromatherapy, acupuncture, hypnosis etc. none of them seemed to help at all and I was at a point where I was about to give up because I just didn’t know what else to do.
It can be a real challenge to get a good night’s sleep with your tinnitus, mainly because the symptoms make sleep difficult due to the noises made by the ringing in the ear. Some people will go as far as to wear ear plugs in order to muffle the sounds even further. Others will turn the music volume down so they won’t wake anyone up. You’re basically stuck in a never ending circle and no matter what you do, the noise just won’t stop.
I experimented for a long time with various treatments for tinnitus, both conventional and alternative, before I found anything that worked for me. One of the things that helped me the most was sleeping with my tinnitus in my ears. Tinnitus is usually only heard when it’s quiet, but by sleeping with it in my ear, I was able to overcome the noises and get a good night’s sleep. So now I’m finally able to ignore the noises and enjoy some uninterrupted rest. It’s great to know that I no longer have to live with this frustrating condition.
