Exchange breakfast and dinner can trim the risk of heart disease
2 min readIf you have seen studies on vegetable-based diets and health benefits related to them, but cannot bring yourself to adopt your own diet, there might be less drastic choices. According to a new study published by the endocrine community, eating plant-based foods in dinnertime may be sufficient to ‘significantly’ reduce the risk of heart disease.
For many people, dinner is often their biggest meal. These foods often contain fatty meat such as red meat, as well as excessive processed carbohydrates such as bread and pasta. The new study found that eating this kind of dinner can increase the risk of heart disease compared to eating similar food for breakfast.
Not only the quality of the food you eat, but also your meal time affects the risk of heart disease, according to a new study. The researchers found that people who eat dinner showing things like unsaturated fats and the entire carbohydrates have a 10 percent lower chance to develop heart disease.
Of course, the best way to protect one’s health is to always eat healthy food. However, the study noted that if you plan to eat fine carbohydrates and meat, it might be better to do it in the morning for breakfast than at night for dinner.
Someone who, for example, spends a bowl of oatmeal with nuts and fresh fruit for breakfast maybe it’s better to save the food for dinner, at least based on this new research. This study came from the Harbin Medical University in China, where researchers analyzed data on survey of health and national nutrition surveys in almost 28,000 adults in the US.
