- Sabbatical
Nightly rest is so important. Most people need six to nine hours of sleep each night. Furthermore, it’s really important to make sure that you’re taking vacations. A vacation is often considered a luxury. However, it’s really important to take a vacation because it serves as a mental and physical reset. When you take the time off to relax and give your body space to rest, you’ll be able to get a boost that’ll take you into the next season of responsibilities. Try to take some sort of vacation each quarter of the year. Even if it’s a staycation, take time off for yourself.
- Exercise
You’d think that exercise is the very thing that will put you to sleep. Truthfully, it’s a great idea to start the day with exercise. It’ll allow you to be wake the body up and get the blood circulating in a healthy manner. If you exercise in the early hours of the morning, you’ll be able to get your workout out of the way and focus on the rest of your day. Consider a fun activity like swimming. Swimming backstroke to start the day is a delightful idea.
- Green Vegetables
Instead of reaching for that large cup of coffee or those few shots of espresso, try a green smoothie instead. There are so many nutrients found in green vegetables. To start the day right, try making a delicious green smoothie. Add a few ounces of water to a blender. Throw in a ripe banana and a few handfuls of kale or spinach. Chia seeds are helpful for fiber and keeping you full for a long time. Add two teaspoons of chia seeds. Next, add a few cubes of mangos or pineapples. You can add any other fruit that you really enjoy. Blend the mixture and enjoy it as a meal replacement smoothie. The nutrients are enough to revitalize the body to stay energized.
- Water
Many people walk around and they’re severely dehyrdated. To make matters worse, they don’t realize it. Since they’re used to living in this state, they make the mistake of believing that it’s just that they’re hungry or need rest. If you’re unsure about how much water you need on a daily basis, there’s a formula to follow. Take your body weight and cut it in half. That number is the number of ounces you need to drink every single day. If you weight 200 pounds, you need to drink 100 ounces of water every day. When the body is hydrated, it’s more likely to feel energized and alert.
